The University of Michigan Dance Department is hosting the 2002
Great Lakes Region American College Dance Festival, February 27-March 2,
2002, which includes four days of concerts, master classes, adjudication
concerts, round tables, workshops, and a closing Gala performance.

On Friday, March 1, the Festival will host its first (!)  Dance
Technology Forum at Power Center for the Performing Arts, showcasing
faculty and student works that integrate dance and audio/video
technology
in performance.


If you are in the region, come and visit.  OSU's Environments Lab will
be premiering a new telepresence dance piece, "Embers," on Friday night,
